The Valor Project: Laundry Room

Project Reveals

Well, hello there. I’m back again today to spill all the details about this transformation! As always, let’s begin at the beginning…

BEFOREBEFOREBEFOREBEFOREBEFOREBEFORE
Tough to handle wall texture. Sad tiles. BUT, amazing space (it’s hard to really show you how huge this room is!). Updates were really all that were needed.

Doesn’t it just feel better on your actual eyeballs to see this reveal?? I swear I have a physical reaction to it!

The home’s exterior conjured major Spanish Colonial vibes, so I let that be a guide for me when sourcing materials. These patterned tiles from Bedrosians have old world charm, but also make the space feel incredibly modern and current.

One of my favorite hacks for renovations being made on a budget: replacing cabinet fronts. Can you see what a difference beefing these doors up and having them be full overlay (the door covers the entire cabinet box) makes? Such a cost-effective way to make a huge impact. I also love the moody tone-on-tone with the dark paint (Benjamin Moore Cheating Heart) and the matte black cabinet hardware (very similar to our kitchen, actually).

This sink was actually a bit of a challenge for me. I’d envisioned a charming wall-mounted farmhouse sink, so we ordered this one from Rejuvenation. It’s adorable…but once it arrived, we realized it was way too tiny. Perhaps with a different, more flush faucet it would have worked; but ours was already installed (and I was already quite in love with it). SO, back to the drawing board we went. We landed on this super simple (and incredibly affordable) freestanding sink, and I truly love the way it turned out. The room needed some anchoring in that area, and the black sink does the trick. It also really lets that gorgeous faucet shine.

This room actually has ended up serving as an office as well (I’m showing you about half of this space – it really is so huge), so I’m loving that this beautiful space is seeing more than just laundry chores!
