The Carriage Hills Project – Hall Bath + Laundry Room

Project Reveals

Hi there! Back again with the final reveal of this glorious project. Today we’ll be walking through the hall bath and laundry room transformations.

The best thing about these two rooms is that they are perfect examples of small changes that make a huge impact. Let’s start with the before of the hall bath…

As almost every room in this house, we’re dealing with a “not bad, but not great” design situation. Since this room is right off of the green room, it definitely needed a style punch-up. Since we focused most of our design attention (and budget) on the green room and kitchen, we had to really prioritize well in this space.

These incredible cement floor tiles from Riad Tile took first priority. I love the combination of the unique pattern, yet in a soft colorway. From there we updated the vanity with this one from Ikea (not my first Ikea vanity, and certainly not my last). To finish things off, we employed one of my very favorite budget-friendly renovation hacks: painting the tile. While this paint (technically a boat epoxy) is a real punch to the nose at first, it makes such a difference in the overall look of things.

Now onto the laundry room. Here’s where we started…

Again – little changes, big impact. We used remnant quartz from the kitchen countertops to bring major elevation to the finishes. From here, it was a simple change of paint and hardware, et voila – a completely new room. Oh, and a vintage runner only ever helps a room.

So that’s it: the final rooms of our Carriage Hills Project. This home is so near and dear to my heart, so thank you guys so much for following along. I’ll leave you with the details…
