The Weekend Haps – June 27

Lifestyle

My name is Sarah, and I’m a deadbeat blogger. MAN. I feel like I started so strong a few months ago, keeping my schedule, posting regularly, blah blah blah… But a combination of a lot of things (wanting more time with my kids, uptick in client projects, making every attempt to love and fight for justice, etc.) has taken the wind out of the ole blog sails for a minute. I could make empty promises about doing better, but really – who cares? I’ll get to it when I get to it, and we’ll all be just fine. ANYWAYS…

In case you missed it…

  • On Monday I shared the new fun update to my site: the SHOP section! Next time you’re looking to spruce up your space and you don’t know where to start, you can check there for a curated selection of decor, rugs, lighting, and more.

  • On Thursday, my favorite bedding brand shared an interview I gave with them recently. We talked all about the connection between design and wellness, how to value and emphasize the importance of sleep, and the things I need to feel at peace in my home. Now for the haps…

  • David and I just watched this movie last night and… whoa. So, so beautiful and moving and original and thoughtful and all the things.

  • The new Casaluna line from Target is so good, you guys. A certain little boy in my home recently cut (in half…like, with scissors) our guest room duvet cover, so I’m thinking about using this sagey green quilt as a replacement. Also, the oversized knit throws are show-stopping.

  • I just got this new blouse and plan on wearing it all. dang. summer. A little whimsical, super flattering, and (important in this crazy heat) incredibly breezy. I was a sucker and paid full price, but it’s on major sale right now.

  • I love a saturated, colorful vintage rug as much as the next gal. But sometimes you just want an understated, muted one like this beauty. It would look sooo good in a bathroom or entryway.

  • We just bought several books from this collection, and my boys are loving them. We have the van Gogh, Michelangelo, and Jackson Pollock (did you know he was one of FIVE boys, and two of his brothers also became artists?!) editions, and I’m learning so much right alongside the boys.

xo,

sarah
