My Evening Skincare Routine (featuring only ONE skincare brand!)

Lifestyle

It’s rare – really really rare – for someone who loves skincare and beauty products as much as I do to latch onto a brand as faithfully as I have with Ursa Major. It dawned on me recently that my ENTIRE evening skincare routine (aside from a weekly mask) is made up exclusively of Ursa Major products. I thought I’d share my super simple routine with y’all as we’re heading into winter and needing to take care of our skin even as we sleep!

But first, a little about this company. Based out of Vermont, UM is a Certified B Corporation, meaning they meet the HIGHEST standards of social and environmental impact. Their products are completely clean, smell incredible (light and botanical – nothing floral), have simple and gender-neutral packaging, and – best of all – WORK. I’ve been using them for years, and if I have a skin concern to address, I always check to see if Ursa has a product that would meet the need first.

Now for the routine:

  1. Cleanse – I think we all want our face to feel super clean after a wash, but without the tightness and discomfort that some extreme products leave behind. Fantastic Face Wash hits the nail on the head with this one. If I for some reason have a ton of makeup on (a very rare occasion, indeed), I don’t even need to double cleanse.

  2. Tone – this was my very first Ursa Major product to buy years ago, and I restock every time I run low. Toner is one of those counter-intuitive products that exfoliates AND hydrates, and their 4-in-1 Tonic is by far the best one I have found. They even make individually wrapped facial wipes with this product that are perfect for traveling or keeping in a gym bag.

  3. Moisturize – UM has two moisturizers that I really love. Right now, since the weather is cold and the indoor heating is drying my face constantly, I’m reaching for their Golden Hour Recovery Cream. The texture is perfect – super luxurious and hydrating, but allows my pores to breathe. In warmer months, their Fortifying Face Balm (a bit of a misnomer, in my opinion, as it’s quite lightweight) does the trick.

And that. is. it. So simple, so unified. There’s research to suggest that there are benefits to using a single brand (all products have been designed to work together), but honestly this happened by trial and error. After years of use, I’ve fallen in love with these products and feel so good about recommending them to you. Ursa Major has been so generous, too, and is offering you guys 15% off your purchase through the end of the year with code SARAH15 . They have a very well-curated holiday shop that will for sure help you with any last minute gift shopping (for girls or guys – Fultz and I both love this stuff).

What about you? Are you a skincare brand loyalist, or do you like to formulate a custom routine? Tell me in the comments! And in case you missed it, I shared my morning routine back in this post!

xo,

sarah
