The Haps This Weekend – April 18

Lifestyle

Yo yo yiggity yo. How are we doing? We’re over halfway through April, which is mind-boggling. Each new day brings a slightly more settled feeling for our fam… which feels good and bad. Good in the sense that the shock is wearing off and expectations are clearer; but bad in the sense that I want this to END, not get used to it!! Okay, moving on.

Just in case you missed it…

  • I revealed the Deere Project Master Bedroom on Monday of this week (y’all love that blanket, and the price is too good!). On Thursday, I shared my top tips and strategies for decluttering and purging in your home (I have LOVED getting messages from y’all about what part of the house you’re clearing out next!!).

  • I introduced you guys to the Valor Project yesterday on Instagram! I cannot tell you how excited I am about this project. This family is so so fun to work with, and the property is incredible (think Spanish revival on a big plot of land). The renovation started last week and is now in full swing, so stay tuned and follow the #valorproject tag to catch all of the progress updates and behind-the-scenes footage.

Now for the Haps…

  • You know who the real winner of quarantine is? Loungewear companies. I’ve been living in my favorite pair of joggers lately, so I thought I’d share them with you…except they’re basically sold out. So I was going to link to a similar pair from the same brand…sold out. So I thought I’d look at a brand I’ve always wanted to try…SOLD OUT (basically…they have some sizes in some colors). Y’all I seriously went to at least 10 brands to pull some jogger options, and truly nothing. What a time to be alive.

  • The cast of this new Netflix show is basically a dream come true. Come on, May!

  • I spent a good chunk of Thursday afternoon answering questions about the strapless bra I mentioned on my stories (which is hilarious), so for everyone wondering: it stays stuck all day (I live in Texas and run around outside with three little boys most days), it stays sticky over time (I’ve had mine for almost two years, still sticks like new), and it holds “the team” up and together. I don’t know what sorcery makes it all happen, but it works. GET IT.

  • Do you and your spouse share skincare products? Fultz and I kind of do… Just cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. That means we tend to go through those products a little faster than others. We just ran out of moisturizer, and I’m thinking of giving this one a go. I’m impressed with the ingredients, that price point is BANANAS, and the minimal packaging isn’t super feminine making it perfect for sharing.

  • We’ve started a tradition with our friends where we take turns making each other watch our favorite movie from the 80s/90s. Then on Saturday nights, after all of our kids are down, we make a cocktail and FaceTime to discuss (the person whose movie pick it is has to bring questions and trivia to share). It’s really been so so fun, but writing it down now makes me wonder “ARE WE THE BIGGEST DORKS ALIVE?” Whatever, I blame quarantine.

So that’s us. What are you up to this weekend? Any big plans (*laughs…then cries; remember “big plans”??). I’ve got some fun not-necessarily-interior-design posts planned for this week, so stay tuned!!

xo,

sarah
